SETTLING IN

We have moved into our new house now, and it's been a roller coaster ride. The first week, we had a big storm, and discovered a narly roof leak in our master bath. I walked in, and looked up to see a huge bubble in the ceiling. When I popped the bubble, water just poured out of it. Then, the next week, I was so excited that we were finally hooking up our washer and dryer, but as my husband tried to hook up the washer hose, a pipe bursted in the wall and flooded the downstairs. So now we have spent the last few days ripping out carpet, baseboards, and a bathroom. The upside is that the house desperately needed to be updated, so we are getting a jump start on it with a little help from our insurance.

My studio space was all ready for it's new paint, but is now serving as a storage space for everything that had to be removed from the house. Bummer! Maybe hubby will rearrange things and still give me a nice painted studio for Valentines' Day. One can only dream.
